While organising our trip to California and French Polynesia, we contacted a number of agencies but they all offered the same package. We were deciding where to go for our honeymoon, but we couldn't reach an agreement. We decided to contact Alex from Barcelona, and after thinking things through decided on a combination of culture and nature. Guatemala and Costa Rica were our destination.

We didn't want the typical package tour. Rather we wanted to be able to choose the places to visit, how long to stay in each and above all have the feeling that we were discovering things by ourselves while enjoying the adventure. Alex totally exceeded our expectations.

Between the three of us we designed the route and Alex took care of the details such as hotels, suggestions of what to see and how to take full advantage of our time. A friend of ours recommended we contact Ambulo and everything turned out great. After bombarding Alex with multiple destinations, we decided on two very different ones: New York and French Polynesia. Alex was able to get a perfect combination of flights, including internal flights in Polynesia and some wonderful hotels. Once there we did what Alex had recommended and it really was the right thing to do. If we wanted to do something on our own, he was there at the other end of the phone. We decided to plan a route along the west coast of the US and contacted Ambulo to help orient us and for support in the different destinations. It was perfect. The ground handlers in each place were very professional. It was the trip of a lifetime and because they offer guaranteed quality we will continue to travel with Ambulo from now on. We recommend travelling to the west coast, especially San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. If you drive this route, it is not at all monotonous. Even though the distances are quite long, don't miss out on Yosemite National Park and Mammoth Lakes for some wonderful scenery.

Our honeymoon was something we had always dreamed about: Australia was somewhere we had always wanted to visit. When we began planning the trip my cousin recommended Ambulo and that was a great start: Alex had some magnificent ideas. When we told him that South East Asia didn't appeal to us, he suggested a stopover on the west coast, rather than one long exhausting flight. So we also got to see San Francisco, staying at a modern hotel which was incredible. We also wanted to spend the last few days relaxing on the beach. However, when we told Alex our travel dates he told us that it would coincide with the heavy rains on the Great Barrier Reef. We were quite upset. Straight away, Alex suggested another fantastic destination: Bora Bora, where we stayed at an amazing hotel. Without a doubt, planning our trip with Alex was a great experience and two things come to mind: his expert recommendations for each destination, hotels, restaurants and his huge flexibility, changing our itinerary to fit our needs and happily meeting us at late hours, due to our busy schedules, to talk about our trip.
